Heart trembling, I greet the new,
Not knowing where it will take me, or even how to go.
Only that
The old ways cannot get me there.
I need to leave them on the shore
When I set out on this journey, may my feet be rooted, may I listen to my steady breath
that is the warm wind.
May I make my way on feathers light, through many levels of knowing,
unwrapping the cocoon of sheltered thinking,
breathing in new horizons.
The sky is a vast heart with room and time for my scrapes and fears of then, and when.
May my newborn wings dry in the sun, my antennae sense, may I fly, awake to the now.
